Super Angie...Happy Halloween
We went trick or treating at grandma's hotel, and then the kids hit the neighborhood with Rick.
YEA FOR HALLOWEEN!

Super Angie...working hard
I'm so proud of Brennan. He is now skating twice a week and taking private lessons both times. He is skating on the same free style session (for the most part) that I am, and we have our lessons at the same time.
Yesterday he had a lesson in the afternoon, so I took a few pictures. His coach, Bri, is the sweetest girl. She has quite the skating resume--competed Internationally for the US!! I've included on this post a pic from her Face Book page--she is stunning!
I like coach Bri because she likes Brennan. She completely understands that he is a 6 yr old boy=wild. She wants to help him. She pushes him and has a lot of confidence in his abilities. I have never seen Brennan get so into a sport. He really loves to skate. I don't have a pic, but the other day, he was stroking and suddenly dropped down on one knee and slid across the ice AND then stood up! It was so funny. And he also likes skating to music--Thriller is his favorite. So maybe we should do a mom and son program to Thriller...or Spongebob! :)
I love having a special activity that Brennan and I can do together. He likes getting up early and driving to the rink for a 7:30am session. He is a great kid!

Super Angie...get the knife
PUMPKIN CARVING TIME...get the knife!
Brennan took his shirt off, so Tan decided to follow his lead.
HELLO KITTY!
Brennan wanted me to carve his like a cat. MEOW!
Luv this shot...look at my knife in the back and Brennan's face.
Tan really got into digging out the "bees" inside. Rick told her they were beans, and she thought Bees. Funny. :)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Super Angie...over the river and through the woods
to Grandmother's hotel we go!
My parents are in town because my dad and I are flying out Sunday to China. We would love to have them stay at our house, but guest room is "under contruction" right now, so to speak, so for now they stay at a local hotel (WITH A POOL!!!). We enjoy hanging out at their hotel and going out to dinner near by too.
Tanith loves having Gaga and Pop here.
Some highlights: having gaga and pop come to gymnastics, going to Dennys and drinking WAY TOO MANY cups of hot chocolate together, shopping with my dad, swimming at their pool, having them just come and hang out (and even babysit!), meeting them at the ice rink for Brennan's test, testing multiple Gelato flavors with my dad, going through China paperwork together, eating Italien as a family, going to the MJ movie, laughing about FB together....
So glad they are here!

Super Angie...soaring high, all alone
This morning, I woke up bright and early to workout downstairs, and instead went to the rink to take in an early morning freestyle session. Yesterday I had a lesson and we started working on my program. I felt more alive then ever. Skating to music, being expressive, dancing on ice...it was heaven. I have been "hyper" ever since yesterday morning--so excited about my music and costume and...well, skating has been on my mind. So to get to skate this morning, well, it was just fantastic.
I showed up at the rink at 6:25am and found I was the ONLY one there! It was so empty that the gate to the rink hadn't even been opened yet. I made the first marks on the freshly cleaned ice. HEAVEN!
I soared as I glided, stroke, spun and jumped around the ice. I landed all my jumps, and landed them well. I got out of breathe from skating too hard and fast. My nose ran, my heart skipped a beat. I had total control of the CD player, and practiced the first bit of my program a few times. I did tricks, and spins. I did my first combination jump in years--salchow-toe loop.
I did my special "trick" move--hydroblading (picture above). Felt great (although the front desk guy really had no clue how to take a good picture--DUH! I video taped myself doing a jump--sorry for the long nothing at the begining--had to push record and then go skate! LOL--and then the jump isn't even all that great, but oh well...I had a blast, and I'm doing it!!

Super Angie...The Witching Hour
Saturday was the night the witches came out. Jenny Meek threw the most fun party I have ever gone to. We had a scavenger hunt, ate lots of really yummy food, exchanged witch themed gifts and laughed and laughed.
The game was a blast. We each drew a number. Number 1 went first to choose a gift. Number 2 could choose to steal number 1's gift OR pick her own. If she stole the gift, then number 1 gets to pick a new gift. And so forth. Gifts could only be stolen twice. It was a HOOT. I ended up stealing this broom stick and won it! YEA! :)
Alicia and Lesleigh. It was a fun evening because I got to know neighbors better, like Alicia. LUV HER!
Ah, Kristen and Amy...such sweeties!
Me and Elizabeth...what a sweetie!
Jenny was a wonderful hostess. I loved the scavenger hunt we did!
The party was SOOO much fun!
Look at this cake!!
Jodi and Jenn--look at those socks! LOVE IT!
Lesleigh and me!
I seriously can't wait for the witches party next year!!!

Super Angie....FHE for those who have not
On Sunday I go to China and part of the trip, we get to go volunteer at an orphanage. We have been encouraged to bring gifts, toys and clothes to the children.
For Family Home Evening, we decorated sweatshirts for the kids at the orphanage. We talked about families and how lucky we are to live where we are.
All three kids had a BLAST decorating the shirts, and Rick and I enjoyed helping.
I'm so proud of my kids for making shirts for kids who don't have...

Super Angie...what powers me
Dreams are not made to put us to sleep,
but to awaken us!
but to awaken us!
I'm a normal girl--insecure about some things, full of confidence in others. I have kids, I have a husband, I have laundry to fold and dishes to do. I laugh, sing, dance, and act silly. I cry. I'm a normal, every day girl. But I refuse to let these "normal" things hold me back from doing something powerful. Why should I be satisfied with just sitting at home?
I climb rocks. I climb Ice. I climb mountains.
What powers me is simple and one of my mountaineering heros, Ed Viesturs, said it the best, "I can say now--out loud, without hesitation--something that sadly, all too few men and woman can ever say; I have lived my dream."
What powers me is not letting my dreams only happen when my eyes are closed and my head is on my pillow.
I don't want to grow old and say, "if only I had"....so, instead, I'm saying, "lets go and do it now!"

Super Angie...mother and daughter
Super Angie...Super Tanith!
Tanith loves gymnastics so much, and I love doing the Mom and Me class with her, so I signed her up to do it twice a week!Tanith with Miss Nola.
Any chance Tan has to go upside down, she takes it!
Focusing on the balance beam.
Miss Nola helping Tan on the beam. And this is the regular height balance beam, not the one that is touching the ground.
I was impressed with Brennan. He really misses gymnastics.
Miss Nola was so nice to invite Brennan to participate in the little ballancing game.
What little sport girl!
Look! Her toe is actually pointed!
Tanith and Miss Jodi. We LOVE Jodi.
Again with the bars...this girl just can't get enough.

Super Angie...fall break Monday fun
Tonight we were supposed to go to Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point, but we got rained out, so instead, we met our friend Jake and Julie and went to Frozen Yogart Junction and had an awesome evening.
Tan took a nap in the car, so she was a bit grumpy, so she enjoyed it and eventually even smiled at Jake!
Jake and Josh played checkers.
Thought this picture of Ryann was hillarious. Dressed as Flicity from American Girl, and yet she has a big gun! lol
Brennan with his bow and arrow.
Julie as Queen Amadala
Jake giving me sometype of Darth Vador gang sign..lol
What an awesome evening with awesome friends. LUV U GUYS!
