Super Angie...Ice climbing: night 2

After having such an awesome experience climbing at night with our lights, we went out again last night. It was an "almost full moon" night with clear skies. All the stars were out--simply gorgeous. Again, it was quiet, peaceful and so pretty. But this time it was colder and for some reason, my body couldn't handle the cold, so I only climbed one route and then hiked back to the car. Rick top roped solo to clean the anchor and then headed down to the car. But despite the cold, it was simply so gorgeous!! (but the ice sucked--not plastic at all. )
Two Thumbs Up!
Rick is ready too!
Stairway to Heaven. This is the ice we climb. Its a long ways up and the approach hike SUCKS. But the whole time I do it, I'm thinking how proud of I am for doing this sport that is mostly done by guys.
Always the Japenese peace sign.
Heres Rick putting in the first ice screw.

I'm so happy to have a husband I can share these experiences with. Its exciting and fun being involved in these activities together. I know I can trust Rick 100% .

Thanks Baby!

Super Angie...Ice climbing: night 1

Since becoming a GOALØ Elite Team Member, we have been out testing the gear a lot. One thing we are enjoying is ice climbing at night. We take our GOALØ lights and battery up with us, and light up the place.

Its so beautiful climbing at night. I love seeing the headlights of the cars down below. I like hearing the water running behind the ice. I love the quiet. I love the smell.

Here's Rick getting ready to climb, with the light next to him.
Here is he on the wall. I'm belaying him below.
Then it was my turn.
The ice that day was PERFECT> whats called "Plastic". It was an awesome experience for me because I have never really climbed on plastic ice before--it was heavenly! The tools just stick, the sound is nice and the climbing is magical.
I took two laps on this before we had to go. I'm so glad we are hooked up with GOALØ. It really has changed our lives, helped us to refocus and have zero regrets.

Thats what I'm learning...I'm not getting any younger. I don't want to be "old" (whatever age that may be) and say, "if only I had...", so I'm doing it now. I'm figuring out a way to do all the things I want to RIGHT NOW and its working.

i
Just some shots of my kids home schooling this morning. Math tests, painting, grammer, writing, spelling, letter recognition....we have done so much and its only 9:45!

I sure do love my kids. I love how they help each other learn. Dallin will read to Brennan and Tanith. Brennan will help Tan with her drawing. I get plenty of one on one time with each. Its wonderful. I'm amazed at how smart they all are and how quickly they are all learning.

YEA FOR MY KIDS!

Super Angie...Museum of History and Industry

VISITING MOHAI
This was my favorite museum to visit as a child. I remember going often and I just LOVED IT! So, mom and dad and I took the kids and had a delightful learning about Seattle history.

A giant sleigh in the entry hall was just too tempting. We put on hats and had a picture taken.
And then the exploring began.
What a cutie
Brennan loved EVERYTHING in the museum. Eventually I had to stop taking his picture in front of each thing.
They were fascinated by all the sailing history.
Everyone loves an Indian, right?
The kids really LOVED the boat
LOOK! What great fishermen they are...catching wild salmon!
Lots of imagination. I loved that they enjoyed the museum as much as I did when I was a their ages!
Mom sitting at an old time cafe.
Mom joked that she was always the one giving the money, not the one coming to get the money.
The boys enjoyed learning from Pop
Tan really enjoyed all the salmon cannery things
She had no idea what this giant black SAFE was...all the kids thought it was a fridge.
Heres my mom helping her can fish. BTW...Doesn't my mom look awesome? Look at thin she looks!!!
I couldn't resist
Dallin sitting at a big old desk
Seriously? HOW AWESOME TO SEE IT UP CLOSE> The famous TOE TRUCK!
YES! The Rainer Beer Comerical dude! AWESOME!
While I was too young to remember the bill board, I do remember hearing about it as a kid.
Heres the airplane my dad was helping to design, until Congress put a hold on the funding. Dumb Congress!
Who doesn't love a good old hydroplane from Sea Fair?
Seatac Airport back in the day.
The kids had a blast building their own model of Seattle out of legos.
Who doesn't LOVE the old Rainer Beer "R" sign? Ah...good memories.
Brennan LOVED exploring the old time town.
And of course, the old gun outfront...
.
