Super Angie...Keystone and the Denver Zoo!

We went to Denver to pick up Rick from the airport and then we went to the Denver Zoo. Seriously, the best zoo I have ever been too! Arctic foxes! These little guys were so noisy!
They had a few polar bears...so awesome to see!
How do we measure up?
Look at this Tiger's teeth!
Tan and Daddy
So cute!
Ride the hippo!
Look at the noisy bird next to Dallin!
Love birds.
Who doesn't love Penguins?
A lady gave the boys some food to give the peacock
Dallin and Rick enjoyed watching the hippo

Tanith really liked the Elephant
Of course the Emu!
Of course I love KANGS!
Check out the action shot!
African Wild Dogs. Brennan really likes these.
So sleepy and cute
This lioness was watching from high on the rock
What a king!
Brennan with his wild dogs.
More LIONS!!!!
we loved seeing so many active lions
There were many roaming peacocks.
Brennan and Tan LOVED the peacocks!
A mongoose--or "the little rat thingy". Cute!
Brennan wanted his picture taken infront of all the statues.
They are such great friends.
He is so cute
Brennan was so animated with all these statues. He really is a sweet heart!

The day before we went to the zoo, we went for a nature walk around Keystone....
Yea for Colorado
We enjoyed the park
WEEEEEE!
Of course, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!
Tanith enjoyed eating at PIZZA ON THE PLAZA
Check out Brennan's hair! This is what happens when you take your hat off!
Nature hike by the frozen river--we looked for signs of life including footprints, poop, and habitat.
Ice sculpture
Tan, Dallin and Brennan on the nature walk...bundled up

We simply loved the Denver Zoo, having Daddy join us, and having fun family time in Colorado. We feel so blessed.

Super Angie... Tan's time

While I work with the boys on homeschooling, Tanith wants to be right there with us. She will color and "write" for up to an hour with no complaints. I have never seen a kid be so patient and so into coloring.

At the condo, she is very fond of her highchair, and refuses to sit anywhere else. She hasn't had a highchair at home for 2 yrs! This one is very special to her.

Super Angie...cooling down

Today, Dallin worked for an hour doing math. He is good at math, but it doesn't come naturally. He has to WORK at it. Working isn't fun, is it? He has to develop patience, which again, isn't a fun process. I think Dallin's biggest thing is he is just like me--he wants it to go quickly but sometimes in Math, you must go SLOW and really think about things.

So, after doing math, I asked if he wanted to do cursive practice or do some stuff from another workbook.

"CURSIVE! Cursive cools me down" he said.

I loved hearing him say this. To me, this was a huge deal--he has realized how to control himself. I'm so proud of him. WAY TO GO DALLIN!

Super Angie...new hot tub

Yea for a new hot tub in Keystone. Its outside, which we are very excited about. Now we can enjoy the weather, the stars and the pool, while still sitting in the hot tub. Tonight we will go at night and hope for clear skies so we can learn about the stars. Hot Tub Astronomy Class!

Super Angie...Ice climbing: night 2

After having such an awesome experience climbing at night with our lights, we went out again last night. It was an "almost full moon" night with clear skies. All the stars were out--simply gorgeous. Again, it was quiet, peaceful and so pretty. But this time it was colder and for some reason, my body couldn't handle the cold, so I only climbed one route and then hiked back to the car. Rick top roped solo to clean the anchor and then headed down to the car. But despite the cold, it was simply so gorgeous!! (but the ice sucked--not plastic at all. )
Two Thumbs Up!
Rick is ready too!
Stairway to Heaven. This is the ice we climb. Its a long ways up and the approach hike SUCKS. But the whole time I do it, I'm thinking how proud of I am for doing this sport that is mostly done by guys.
Always the Japenese peace sign.
Heres Rick putting in the first ice screw.

I'm so happy to have a husband I can share these experiences with. Its exciting and fun being involved in these activities together. I know I can trust Rick 100% .

Thanks Baby!

Super Angie...Ice climbing: night 1

Since becoming a GOALØ Elite Team Member, we have been out testing the gear a lot. One thing we are enjoying is ice climbing at night. We take our GOALØ lights and battery up with us, and light up the place.

Its so beautiful climbing at night. I love seeing the headlights of the cars down below. I like hearing the water running behind the ice. I love the quiet. I love the smell.

Here's Rick getting ready to climb, with the light next to him.
Here is he on the wall. I'm belaying him below.
Then it was my turn.
The ice that day was PERFECT> whats called "Plastic". It was an awesome experience for me because I have never really climbed on plastic ice before--it was heavenly! The tools just stick, the sound is nice and the climbing is magical.
I took two laps on this before we had to go. I'm so glad we are hooked up with GOALØ. It really has changed our lives, helped us to refocus and have zero regrets.

Thats what I'm learning...I'm not getting any younger. I don't want to be "old" (whatever age that may be) and say, "if only I had...", so I'm doing it now. I'm figuring out a way to do all the things I want to RIGHT NOW and its working.
