Super Angie... Skate for Hope
Each year as I an re-united with special friends backstage, I am reminded of why I LOVE this show. Its the people. Yes, its so fun to skate in a big arena. Yes, its so great to raise money for Breast Cancer. Yes, I will admit, I LOVE hearing the crowd go NUTS when I do my hydroblade. Its awesome. But it still comes back to the people.
Here are some pictures of some of my favorite people from the show this year.

Super Angie...being mom
Lately, scripture study has been going well. We mostly always study 10 verses or so before school...most mornings. We try. That's all you can ask for, right? TRY.
Homework has been a struggle but I'm happy to report that the kids are doing great. Fantastic in some cases, just ok in some classes, but over all-- Great. They TRY.
Housework-- well, i found this cool thing called 40 Bags in 40 Days. I'm doing it with a FB friend and its awesome. Google it. Its cool. I'm TRYING to do it and stick to my calendar. I mostly do well. I've made a lot of headway and gotten quite a few bags of trash taken out, and so far, two bags of donation stuff. Plus just felt good. That is the best outcome.
Skating is progressing. The lake closed early March so now I have free time to skate and train. Six weeks until Skate for Hope. I'm really excited. I'm TRYING to lose some lbs for that- gotta look good for the show, right? I'm counting calories, training hard, and making progress. Working moves and dance right now. Hardly any freestyle- doctor's and coach's order. My knees are doing good and my back is happy.
Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna TRY to do Family Home Evening. Its important. I firmly believe this. I'm making it simple though- just reading an article from The Friend. Its a good start. Give it a TRY yourself...let me know how it works out.
I feel like life is all about trying. Try new things. Try to be a little bit better. Try to be nicer. Try to eat less. Try to move more. Try to not yell as much. Try to train harder. Try try TRY.

Super Angie... a new light
This morning I was reading the Ensign and read about being a member missionary. "People will see the light in your eyes and wonder why you have such a spirit in you".
When I started working at the lake teaching skating lessons, I got a name tag that is supposed to say my home town on it. But my boss didn't know my real hometown- Redmond, WA. So instead he put Provo, UT because he knew I had lived in Utah county. At first I was upset about this- I AM NOT FROM UTAH! Heaven Forbid. ;) I'm a Seattle girl through and through.
But...after reading this quote this morning, I'm seeing things in a different light.
I've received lots of positive feedback (as has my boss) about how I'm doing at work. Customers like my friendly, positive attitude. They like taking lessons with me. I make people feel important and special. This makes me so glad to hear. I really wanted to make a difference at this job.
But now I'm seeing that my name tag may also help share the gospel. Its no secret that people associate Provo, UT with BYU and Mormons. So if people are noticing that I have this special Sparkle about me, hopefully they will make the connection that I'm Mormon. Some of my students know that I'm Mormon...I've told them I can't work on Sunday. Or that I don't drink. etc.
I hope that I can touch the lives of those who come to the lake. I hope I can offer them the love of Christ.

Super Angie...rising
I've been sick this week which isn't a big headline. But I leave in 12 hours to compete in Vegas.
To be successful at anything, you have to rise above your trials. You have to push. You have to believe.
And so I'm rising....

Super Angie..Super Life
Life isn't always what we want. There will always be times when we fall down. There will always be times when we are sick, injured or without a job. Tragedy strikes all. Loved ones die. BUT I don't like focusing on those down times. I have a friend who is constantly down. She constantly finds the negatives. I have another friend who has had the same types of tragedies in her life, and yet, she has a cheery outlook. She looks up and smiles. I choose to be like that second friend.
The other night I was watching Long Island Medium on TLC. I like this show. Theresa is hilarious. And the show gives you warm fuzzies. Often while watching it, I think about my mom who, as you know, passed away in Feb 2011. I still cry when I think about her not being around. But often I feel her present. While watching the show the other night, I felt a warm hug from Heaven and I felt so impressed that "WE NEED YOUR MOM IN HEAVEN MORE THEN YOU NEED HER ON EARTH". I know this is true. I know my mom is in Heaven serving. I have had this witnessed to me many times. It makes me smile to think about that.
Life in Colorado is great. I do miss some friends in Utah but I'm grateful for FB because I can keep in touch with many of them. Jen Hamilton is coming to visit in two weeks. I'm soo excited for her to come. My kids are loving school here. They are making friends and getting great grades! We all love the ward and love our callings. And of course, its so peaceful and beautiful here. Our family is stronger then ever.
Life is all about finding the good. I'm happy that I find those positive things instead of focusing on the negatives.
Super Angie...Sewing Tanith
I bought this boxed sewing Raccoon kit about a year ago and finally gave it to Tanith. SHE WAS THRILLED. And it was sooo fun to teach her how to sew. This is a very simple craft but to her, it was everything. She let Brennan take a turn and he loved it as well.

They worked together so nicely. No fighting. Only supporting each other.
Mommy, take more pictures!! She was so happy to be doing this craft
I'm so glad we spent the evening sewing together. It was a bonding moment. She really was proud of herself...and I'm proud of her too!

Super Angie...Super Halloween
Then on Halloween, Rick and I went to the elementary school and helped in Brennan's class and Tanith's. They just love having us come. Dallin went trick or treating with his friends and Rick and I took Tan and Bren to Frisco main street. I am HOOKED on Main street. Sooo fun. All the local businesses had their doors open and were handing out candy. Even a church on Mainstreet handed out candy, hot chocolate AND Bibles! The kids were sooo excited to get little bibles. :) It was FREEZING though. Like 20 degrees and snowing. Windy too. But man, we had such a great time. :)
Super Angie...Christmas in November
Yesterday Tan asked if we could set up the Christmas tree. And I thought hey why not. So I let the kids decorate it, which they loved. And ever since we been listening to christmas music and spending more time together in the living room. I really love it. Tan likes to lay under the tree, like Lucy. :)
Super Angie.. Primary
Today was the primary program at church. Brennan and tan were in it. I'm so proud of them. Brennan had to write two talks to give during the program. Tan played the bells during one of the songs. Brennan waved a German flag and Tanith waved a Polish flag during one of the songs. I really enjoyed the primary program because the primary here is so small it made it so personalable.
1 thing I really like it was a few of the kids came up and said something like this: I'm a basketball player. I'm in artist. I'm a cyclist. But most of all I am a child of god.
I really love our ward. Its small but I feel like everyone is genuinely happy to see everyone else.

Super Angie...bye bye concussion
Well I'm happy to report that it has now been four weeks since my collision that caused my concussion and I am basically symptom free. This week I have returned to be a pretty regular skating schedule. I've had a few headaches but I think they're more muscular skeletal instead of brain caused. So I have been seeing my chiropractor.
Things that really helped me heal are: resting, sleeping, staying off of Facebook and electronics and Rick also took the kids to Utah for a full week. This helped a lot.
Drinking cola also helped with the headaches although the extra calories sure didn't help my diet. Haha
So glad to be "back"!
