Super Angie...lots of posts

This morning, I have posted about 5 posts, so if your interested, read or skim below...I promise, they aren't long!

The scale was very nice to me this morning, saying I have lost another lb. Another goal, another huge accomplishment! YEA!!!! 4 lbs to go to my main big goal!!! HOLY SNOT! I'm so excited and proud of myself!

Super Angie...this is living in Utah

When leaving our neighborhood last night for rock climbing, we noticed some visitors on the golf course by our house. Big Horn Sheep! These sheep usually live on the other side of the American Fork Canyon so we were surprised to see them on our side of the canyon.

Only in Utah!

Super Angie...stylin

At Dallin's Valentine's Party, Karen, the owner of the school, gave all the girls a pretty flower hair clip, including Tanith! I had fun doing her hair with the clip. I was inspired by Amy DeHart and Amy Murphy's blog. :)

Super Angie... Class Party!

Yesterday was Dallin's 2nd grade Valentine's day and despite the face that some of the parents in charge dropped the ball, it turned into THE BEST PARTY EVER, according to a few of the kids! There was candy, valentines, crafts, cupcakes and oh yeah, CANDY!

Mrs. Martinez is so dang cute. She is about 14 weeks pregnant or so and is just a doll. She gave Brennan and Tanith a candy bracelet. THANKS!

My BFF Julie was there to help and Terece came too...I love these ladies!

Super Angie...the Blue and Gold Banquet

Wednesday night was the Blue and Gold banquet for cub scouts. Because Tanith and Brennan were sick, Rick took Dallin alone to the event. They decorated a cake to take with with a giant eagle on it. Dallin came up with the idea for an eagle and Rick drew it...isn't it fabulous?! Dallin had a lot of fun putting the sprinkles on for the eyes, wings and beak. Seriously great looking cake!

They had a good dinner (foot long hot dogs!) and had a lot of fun. Dallin came home with a red balloon that was tied to the dinner table, an award for the Highest Flier Cake, and a Tennis Table belt loop award for having passed off that activity! I'm so proud of my little scout!

Super Angie...my silly Valentine

We are leaving in a few hours to ice climb for Valentine's Day, so I wanted to take a second to talk about my silly Valentine. His name is Rick and hes my best friend. We met about 4 years ago and have been best friends ever since! Many of my friends didn't understand my marriage to Rick and I even had some really harsh things said to me about it. Friendships suffered but my love blossomed. I never knew marriage could be this good. Through the years, we have picked up new hobbies (first film making, now rock climbing and mountaineering). And its been cool...through the years I have had numerous friends and family members comment about how much happier I am and how they were wrong about us--THANKS!

We have a beautiful little girl together but he loves my boys as if they were his own too. Sure we fight, but I believe best friends fight, so its all good. We have helped each other grow stronger in our faith and devotion to God. We love to travel and we love to support each other in our own desires and goals. We have our little jokes--like everyone thinks I'm his daughter! We would rather spend time together then with anyone else. We talk almost non-stop during the day--texting and IMing or calling. I simply love my silly valentine.

Super Angie...woof woof

So, tonight, Tanith pitched a HUGE fit because I wouldn't let her help Dad and Dallin decorate their cake they were taking to Scouts tonight. She started screaming and threatening, "I'm gonna throw up!!!" . Well, she kept her promise and threw up! HOLY COW!

Anyway, the crying and fits continued as she watched Rick leave with Dallin. To cheer her up, I asked if she wanted to call Gaga? Nope. Uncle Paul? Nope. Aunt Trish? Nope. Kaylee? Nope. Andy? Nope. Tyler? UGH!!!! And then the idea came...Enzo? YES!!!!!

Enzo is my brother Jeff's beautiful black lab. Enzo is the coolest dog and Tanith has taken a liking to him the few times she has met him.

So, I called my brother and after explaining the situation, Tanith spoke to Jeff, actting like Enzo.

He barked. She smiled. He barked some more. She laughed and squealed-- "I"M TALKING TO ENZO!!!!" Oh she was so happy. She said "I love you Doggie" and blew him a kiss. It was just so dang cute.

After I talked to Jeff and he said that once he started barking, the real Enzo ran over to find out what was going on.

Thanks Jeff! You made Tan's day! :)

Super Angie...silly sunday

Sunday is a special day, but it often turns into a silly day too.

I wanted to take Brennan's picture because he looked so good in this new shirt and tie and the nice coat we got him in Germany. But of course, his brother and sister just had to jump in the pictures too!

Super Angie...where are you going?

Super Angie...Daddy's Little Helper

Yesterday Rick got up early to shovel (and ended up really hurting his hand--moral of the story, we are looking for a snowblower!). When he came inside, Tanith started giving him compliments: I like your glasses. Nice Hat. Nice coat. Nice Gloves.

So, Rick let her try one on and she was more then happy to wear the oversized glove!

Super Angie...amazing feat!

Today, I got inspired while driving past Super Jenny's house...she was shoveling her driveway, so I did something that is rarely seen done at our house...I SHOVELED! (and yes, the rain quickly turned to snow and we are now back to looking like winter around here)

Thanks Super Jenny for inspiring me to try something new (yes, I am joking)!

Super Angie...again with the coughing

So, despite all the nice things I have been blogging about the last few days, I am sick as a dog and getting worse as the days roll. Its strange. Friday night climbing was fine. I didn't feel even a tiny bit sick, although I did hurt my knee and am not sure whats up with that. Anyway, Came home, went to bed and then I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't talk.

I spent most of Saturday (except for our evening of errands, pizza and wii) in bed, coughing, and trying to talk. I took two naps and over all just felt like crap. My chest hurts so bad. Because of my coughing fits, I couldn't fall asleep until midnight. ugh!

Today, Sunday...not feeling any different. Gotta get the kids bathed and ready for church. Tanith is sick, so that means Rick will probably stay home with her since she can't go to nursery today. For the second week in a row, we will skip sacrament and just go to teach primary.

I'm glad no one else (besides Tanith and me) are sick. --knocking on wood they stay healthy.

Super Angie...Pizza Pizza and Wiiiiiiiii!

This evening, we did something we rarely do...we ate total junk!!

After a long afternoon of errands, we picked up a pizza, crazy bread and 2 liter of Rootbeer from Little Ceasars--all for the low cost of $10.27 (including tax!). We came home and sat together at the table, talking about silly things, and enjoying our pizza. It was fun to spend time talking non-sense and getting onto topics the boys enjoy...you know, like tooting and burping and...well...yeah! lol

After everything was cleaned up, we headed to the couch and enjoyed some time playing the Wii as a family. I hardly ever play, so this was a "special" treat for the boys. I actually enjoyed it (GASP!) and think we will start having more family wii nights.

Dallin gave me a high five when he went to bed and said, "Good job mama! You did so awesome!" :)

I love being a super mom...spending time with other super people is so rewarding. I love my family and I'm glad they put up with me...even if I am a bit crazy in the head!

Super Angie...A Seattle Day

Ah, the glorious rain, dark skies and cold temps. Its like Seattle, but in Utah. LOVE IT! The rain has washed away much of the snow that has been around since December. So, with a peak of the sun, I encouraged the boys to go ride their bikes.

I sure do love my two boys.

(Notice Dallin's helmet? We got it free at the Scout Office for spending a certain ammount. Cool Eagle!)

Super Angie...free climbing night

Last night, we took advantage of having a membership to Momentum Indoor Climbing, by taking our neighbor's, Derek and Rebecca, climbing...FOR FREE! Each month, Momentum gives us two free passes to bring friends.

So, we met Derek and Rebecca there, and Julie and Jake came too. They brought Mindy and Jared and then Dan came (without Lisa though). What a blast we all had! Dan is seriously considering coming to Vail to compete too, which would be awesome. LETS HAVE A PARTY!

Rebecca and Derek caught on fast and did really good. I was so impressed with Rebecca's natural talent. Her legs are so powerful. Derek was a gymnastic when he was younger and it showed. Rick showed off his mad skills by doing a V1! Freaking awesome.

I can't wait to climb again. :)

PS...anyone who wants to climb for free next month, in March, let me know. I have passes available.

Super Angie... helping in the classroom

One thing I love about American Legacy Academy is that any time I want, I can come and teach in the classroom. Today I was able to go and teach the kids a Valentine's craft (Valentine's Mailbox). Tanith, Brennan and I made some examples at home a head of time and we had a good time making.

The class got really creative and had a good time. I sure do love my son and all his classmates and his teacher. Yea!!

Super Angie...a new challenge

So, I have decided to give myself a new challenge which I'm really excited about.

This June, I'll be competing at THE TEVA MOUNTAIN GAMES in Vail, Colorado. Its a bouldering competition and anyone who knows me knows, I don't boulder. So this is a great motivator for me to get better at bouldering. :) I'm also excited because Vail is only 20 minutes from our condo in Keystone, so this will be perfect! :)

I just got off the phone with USA Climbing and found out that recreation/beginner is V0 and V1, so I can totally work that! :) YEA! :) I'm all registered and anxious to get to work training. :)

Super Angie....sad day for ice climbing

I love ice climbing. I started last season. It was a great season. The weather in Utah was perfect and we had ice even at the mouth of Provo Canyon until March. Well, this season, the ice is all wasted because of the warm weather. But no worries, there is always Ouray, Colorado which is home to some of the BEST climbing and even better...its literally a five minute walk from the hotels!

The problem...finding babysitters who will either A: accept coming to Ouray with their spouse (all expenses paid--gas, hotel, food) and see it as a great opportunity to have free evenings and a romantic getaway WITHOUT us paying them, or B: finding a babysitter who will stay at our house but only get paid for the hours the kids are awake. Nope...babysitters now adays want hundreds of dollars to travel with on these trips and then make such a huge mess that it gives us all headaches! OR they want to get paid for the complete 24 hours they stay at our house...even get paid for sleeping in our bed! OR...we try to hire a realative who actually OWES us money and they pass on the opportunity to pay off their debt.

So, finally, we found someone who is actually looking forward to going with on this trip to Ouray. Someone who isn't looking to get paid. Someone who really loves the kids. Great! Fantastic! The hotel reservation has been taken care of. Everything is planned and set in stone. And to make it even better, all this happens over Valentine's weekend AND Ouray is hosting a FREE kids climbing clinic complete with all the gear. YEA! We are all so excited.

And then...
DING DONG.
Its someone from the Primary presidency.

CRAP! Our class is doing Sharing Time next Sunday. No big deal, right? I think it would be fun to do sharing time...but....thats our weekend!!!

So, it looks like Rick will go with our sweet friend Nate and they will climb their little hearts out. The kids will stay home with me (no free clinic) and I will miss out on my last opportunity to climb ice this season. Oh well..there is always 2010. And, at least I met my goal of loosing 25 lbs to be in better ice climbing shape for this year.

Super Angie...sick

I have been sick since the weekend. Went to church on Sunday only to teach my class for one hour and then came home (Rick was away, so I was alone). I taught my class on Monday, which was fantastic and took my mind off my sinus issues. Yesterday, I canceled my plans to go to the temple with Super Julie and instead took a 2 hour nap. Dallin had climbing team last night, so we went for that, and I climbed a few routes. It felt really good to get my joints moving and work out some toxins, but I came home and crashed at 8pm!

This morning, I'm still feeling stuffy, but I am trying my hardest to WILL myself over this sickness. I WILL GET BETTER FAST. We are taking the Warnicks climbing this Friday night. Can't wait!

Super Angie...Math and Manners

Last night I taught a great WERC class at the gym while the rest of the fam went to American Legacy Academy for MATH AND MANNERS night. My brother Paul, and his wife Tricia and two of their kids , Andy and Kaylee, were so kind to come to this special event.

Dallin taught everyone the game GO TO THE DUMP, which is a great card game in which you have to find pairs of cards that add up to 10. Uncle Paul won! Then they did some work with triangles. After all the math fun was done, Dallin took everyone down stairs to serve them refreshments.

I am sad I missed out on this special event, but so thankful my brother and sister-in-law and neice and nephew were able to come out to support Dallin. He sure does adore them all!
