Today, my friends Doug and Laura (husband and wife) competed at USFS ADULT NATIONALS. This is the big time.
Today, my friend Doug skated to a silver medal. A Silver medal at the United States National Championships.
Laura had the best skate of her life and was awarded a special honor: the Medal of Courage.
I am so proud of both of my dear friends.
This is my dream. To have a podium finish at a US National Championships. I've been crying all afternoon because THIS is what I am working for. This is why I am willing to stay on the ice for 4 hours straight. This is why I train so hard almost daily. And Doug Did it! HE WON!
