After two hikes and lots of bouldering, we decided to head back to our cabin, and then go to ZION LODGE for some ice cream. Dallin and I raced to the lodge and just enjoyed the mountain air and the beautiful canyon walls.
We went upstairs to the restaurant and ate out on the balcony. Rick had Key Lime Cheesecake, the kids all had rainbow ice cream and I had this huge brownie covered in ice cream, whipped cream and coconut. YUM!
We had some lessons on etiquette with the boys. The restaurant only serves nice glass water glasses. I'm happy to report--nothing was dropped or thrown or got broke! lol
The scenery was gorgeous, the air had a slight breeze and the sun was shining. And the temp was perfect...high 60s! :)
I love sitting outside like this...makes me think of Germany and eating Eis on Leopoldstrasse or Marienplatz.
