Super Angie...Mt. Rainier training hike 3
Yesterday we went a little over 2 miles and about 1200 feet up rock canyon on our Rainier training hike. It was warm and beautiful. We went passed all 5 bridges to the fork, and headed up the Squaw Peak trail a little ways.
My Scarpa boots are still working out great, although I do have a few hots spots. But those are quickly solved by putting duct tape on my feet...you can do anything with Duct Tape.
A hard hike in the snow, but a beautiful hike too.

It was fun. The trail runners were out for an early-season workout. There was a family of very small children that had to be painfully and loudly dragged over the icy avalanche debris above the 2nd bridge. There were poor BYU girls pretending to like hiking for their current hopefully wedded mates. The sun was up, it was hot (hiked in t-shirts) and the snow was beautiful. Excellend training. I set a blistering pace up to the 2nd bridge and you did great.
Duct Tape. Hail McGiver!
