My brother and sister-in-law went away this weekend to Seattle (jealous) so they asked us to watch their daughter Kaylee, who is 10 and in 5th grade.
I picked up Kaylee and together we went to Little Ceasers and got a pizza. After all the kids enjoyed the pizza dinner, we headed to Momentum to rock climb.
Kaylee had never climbed before, so this was a special treat.
The boys were SOOO excited to teach her--I hope they didn't over whelm her! Dallin got right to work helping her boulder and traverse the kids wall. She did awesome! She even did some inverted stuff!
Tanith was wanting to climb BAD, so we got her tied into to top rope. She was wearing her full body harness over her jammies...very cute! Tan climbed great! She got all the way to the yellow frog on the "rainbow route". I'm so proud of Tan for climbing and not just swinging. She has come a long ways! And she is so brave!
Brennan wanted to top rope as well. Right now, we are working with him on doing a clean 5.8--little or no hanging on the rope, no swinging and strictly staying on route. He already did one 5.8 the other week mostly clean, so we wanted to see him do it again. He did awesome! He climbed a new 5.8 that is inverted at the top and it didn't even phase him. WAY TO GO BRENNAN! Because he accomplished this, he got a new BEN 10 toy. I can't beleive he is only 5 and already climbing clean 5.8s. I can only imagine what type of climber he'll become. I'm proud of you Brennan!
Dallin did a lot of great bouldering and took some great pics of Kaylee top roping! He really does have the mad skills! :)
It was a great evening and I am pretty sure Kaylee had a blast. She was so tired afterwards though. We came home, watched KUNG FU PANDA--Secrets of the furious five and ate popcorn!
What a fun weekend we had with Kaylee here, although now I'm not sure I want to have 4 kids...its really hard! LOL
Thanks Kaylee for putting up with our crazy strange family. We love you!

Tan is so fun climbing. She grabs her harness and demands to toprope.
What fun pictures, love the jammies, it is fun to see the growth in the boys, they are willing to really help others learn, not just show off. I am sure Kaylee had a great time. Remember kids don't come into a family full grown.
Great pics - thanks so much for having Kaylee - she adores you and the family!
Fun! I was just sad you had to leave, but maybe next time! (after Spring Break!)
