Super Angie...chewing and chores

When I was a preteen, my aunt and uncle gave me and my cousins all Bubble gum machines for Christmas
I remembered with joy and fondness how much fun it was to have a real gum ball machine.
 So....
I bought one on amazon and surprised the kids
 They have all been excited.
 But there is a catch!
You have to do a chore to earn a penny to get a gum ball
So now, if a kid wants one, they ask "What can I do"
and I quickly come up with an idea- unload the dishwasher, take the shoes upstairs
pick up the garbage in the yard, dust the piano, put away the backpacks,
and my little munchkins, run off happily completely these simple little chores, all in the name of earning a penny to get a gumball. And if you are really lucky, the machine will give you two instead of just one.

Happy Choring!

Super Angie...Renaissance Fair at school

Today the boys have a Renaissance fair at school. At first they wanted to wear their knight costumes--they are so cool! But then they decided to put together their own costume
So together with mom but mostly with Dad's help, Brennan came up with this great villager/fisher costume. The belt belongs to my dad- he  broke it and left it here when he last visited. I didn't want to throw it away and now am glad I hung on to it. Brennan is wearing my white tights. He totally DIGS his costume!
Dallin REALLY wanted to wear his raccon Davy Crocket hat. I didn't want to discourage his creativity even though I knew it was period correct. He also really wanted to use this rabbit fur he bought at scout camp a few years ago. I think he looks great!
I love moments like this. Seeing my kids so excited to pretend. I hope others at school have just as much fun. Brennan was so excited about today that he actually dreamed about it and then woke up early.

Super Angie...roses

some of the roses in our yard.

Super Angie...back yard delight

 The other night
We had a fabulous family time
 just hanging out
 in the back yard!
We got a great deal on a fire pit and we have started having nightly fires. Mmm...smells so good. We have done tin foil dinners, hot dogs, apple crisp and of course, Marsh mallows!  Rick joined the kids on the tramp and we all just laughed and laughed.

I love my family!

Super Angie...cowgirl time

With an upcoming trip to a Rodeo, Tanith wanted to try out her cowgirl clothes. Nevermind that she is wearing candy cane pants with the 4th of July skirt...she is adorable!

Super Angie....Dallin the SCOUT

Dallin has really blossomed this year and grown into a great scout. He and Rick recently went to an Orienteering Day up in SLC. They had a great morning reading maps and compasses. They loved spending the day together
I'm so proud of Dallin for working so hard in such a short amount of time to earn his Scout award.
He is now officially a Boy Scout!

Brother Nielson and Dallin--his patrol leader.

Dallin, I'm so proud of you for being so diligent in scouting. You are well respected by all the leaders. You are on time. You are always dressed in the full uniform. I'm just so proud of you!

Super Angie...Super Knight

Our sweet little Tanith. While Pop was visiting, she got all dressed up for him. She even put a costume on Rody and bounced around the house. She went to Walmart dressed this way and to preschool. The next day, she was back to being regular Tanith. Such a funny little girl.

Super Angie...mother's day from dad

My dad is so sweet. He sent me this beautiful flower arrangement for Mother's Day. Love you Dad!

Super Angie...who's that?

Julie sent me this beautiful mask. Tanith and I couldn't resist wearing it. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Super Angie...crafts and bling

So Tanith was very upset that her friend wasn't home. She was moping around the house, complaining. Finally I decided to be a good mommy and do a craft with her.
We were having a lovely time, singing, glueing, and blinging up these animals, when suddenly her friend knocked on the door and bam! Tan was off to play. So much for needing to hang with mom

Just about then, Dallin came home from school and I talked him into crafting with me. It was actually really fun. He remembers how we used to do this when he was little.
It was a fun afternoon. :)
