Super Angie...Mt Elbrus

I am so proud of Charles and his recent attempt at climbing Mt. Elbrus- the highest peak in Europe and one of the Seven Summits.  He recently wrote a short travel journal about his journey.

My review: Charles's struggles aren't just something mountaineers are familiar with. This book is about trying something, training for it, getting excited for it and then failing. AND THEN moving forward, realizing that Failure doesn't mean the End...its just a different path.

I loved my time spent in Russia in 2010 trying to climb the same mountain. Its a beautiful region with interesting people and incredible peaks.

As with most things in life, mistakes happen, failures happen. But its not the falling down that is shameful. You get up, you dust yourself off and you keep going. I'm very proud of Charles for this and I encourage all to download the book. Take an adventure to a far off region and climb your own Mt. Elbrus.

This is the biggest lesson I have learned from Charles. It's not the mountain you climb, but that you are looking higher, dreaming bigger and continuing on no matter what may happen. to me, that is the most beautiful message he could share with the world. How lucky he is to have you supporting and loving him in such a generous way!
