One thing about climbing mountains...I MUST have my iPod! I used it the whole time, on all the previous hikes and it needed charging. Lucky for us, we had our GOAL0 charger. Even though the Barrels had electricty, it was easier to charge the iPods using the Sherpa 50 because we didn't need to bring a converter with for the plugs, and we have to charge our iPods using a USB port. It charged my iPod quickly, which was great. But then the next day, Joe was interested in charging his, and the Sherpa was now dead. So, we set up the solar panels outside and started charging the Sherpa50. Rick with the Summit behind him. It completely charged in just one hour! Yea! I'm so glad we had the Sherpa 50 with us. Made life in the barrels easier.
The sun was very bright with lots of UV at 13,000', and this battery pack (Sherpa 50) was a pre-production alpha model with a minor firmware glitch that makes the meter read incorrectly at low power, so your results might vary...(sorry, standard disclaimer - lol)
I am Super Angie...a regular mom, who is sure her neighbors can all hear her scream at her kids. A regular mom who is trying to keep her house tidy, but often gives up to go update her status on Facebook. A regular mom who loves ROCK CLIMBING, ICE CLIMBING, FIGURE and SPEED SKATING and TRAVELING. A regular mom who adores her SUPER husband, her Super son Dallin, Super son Brennan and Super daughter Tanith. I am Super Angie and I believe in finding the SUPER moments in the everyday small and simple things we do.
