Super Angie...2nd blog in one day.... one hint 5.11!!!

Tonight at the gym, Rick told me I could climb first. I walked over to my favorite route (brown, 5.10c) and started tying in when Rick said, "why don't you try that 5.11 a" (red one right next to brown). I wasn't so sure, but he talked me into it.

The holds weren't bad at all. Its all about knee drops, twisting your body and changing which hip is into the wall, and then lots of high steps. Tyler came over and gave me some beta and some cheers. Rick gave me TONS of beta and helped a ton. I did quite a bit of hanging and swinging and resting but finally sent the whole thing. OH MY GOSH! I DID A 5.11!!!!! Of course I ran all over the gym telling everyone.

A few hours later, after Rick had climbed and after a yummy Carmel Apple Cider (made by Summer Brown...she rocks!), I decided to climb it again. This time I did it much faster and didn't swing as much. OH MY GOSH! I DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy snot. I am so proud of myself.

Now off to bed I go...

PS.. the picture is of one of the mascots of the Beijing Summer Olympics next year. :)--kind of looks like me running joyfully through the gym telling everyone I just sent a new problem! lol

PPS.. Rick did amazing tonight too. He got three moves from the top of a 5.10 (TONS OF SLOPERS! Horrible route, but he did soooo great!). I am so proud of him and love to climb with him. :)

Super Angie...Harvest Time

So, do you remember in the movie YOU'VE GOT MAIL, when he takes those two little kids (his aunt and his brother) to the harvest time carnival? Well, today, we went to the scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving Point and it felt a lot like that. We have beautiful overcast skies and temps in the 50s. :) There were quite a few things that cost money (face painting, win a stuffed animal etc), but there was a huge tent with TONS of free games to play. There was a golf game, baseball throwing game, bean bag toss, airplane throwing game, ring toss, bowling, and knock over the milk bottles. It was so much fun and it wasn't too crowded. They also had TONS of those big jumpy blow up things and the boys had a blast going on those. We bought some more pumpkins (our front porch is loaded--but these ones were cheap!!!) and in the little country bazaar, I got Tanith a bunch of cute hairclips--so people will stop thinking she looks like a BOY! lol

Dallin had a fever yesterday and again today, but he felt good enough to go to the festival, but we came home earlier then planned and now he is under a quilt. Poor kid. I hope this isn't a flu or something going around our family. I better not get it!!!!

Super Angie...Rock Canyon Climbin

Crag Baby
Finding his holds
Following in Chris Linder's footsteps...
"I gotta chalk up!"
Rick gettin' his climb on.
Mountain Sheep
Happy Hikers
Hangin' at the Crag!
Dallin loves to boulder
Dallin-nice form!

Despite an overwhelming feeling that I shouldn't go (which I should have listened to), we went to Rock Canyon tonight to "get our climb on". Besides the yucky feeling, an emotional mom and a stressful ride to and from the canyon, plus some very 4 yr old attitudes, it was fun.

The highlight of the night was actually NOT the climbing, but seeing Mountain Sheep. We saw SOOOOOOO many and they were so close and down low too. Dallin actually spotted them first. It was really fun to see such beautiful animals, up close.

Rick should be very proud of himself for setting up his very first top rope anchor all by himself. He had to hike up to the top of the wall and clip in etc. It took him a bit of time, but he got it done safely and correctly. I am so proud of him. WAY TO GO BABY!!!!

Dallin was the first to climb. I think he was a little disapointed that he didn't climb very high, but he was so brave to go first and he actually did quite well. He is getting so much better at looking where his hands and feet should go instead of just throwing them around randomly. We were very proud of him. ** overall, he was very well behaved all night.

Brennan was next and he seemed to have fun, even though he didn't get far. He was a little rascal all evening--really wore on me after a while. He likes being out side, but sometimes gets freaked out while hiking--even though the trail we were on was actually an asphalt road. ** over all, he was not very well behaved all night....but I still love him. (Like he says, "me love you, even when you're being mean to me." or "Me love you all night")

I went next. Man, I suck at climbing outside and I actually don't like it. I only had fun climbing outside at the second day of HERA...didn't enjoy Maple Canyon that much and didn't enjoy Rock Canyon either. I like pulling plastic. Does that make me a bad person? I like knowing where my next hand and foot holds are--they are bright colors and really obvious. This route tonight was a 5.6 I climbed about 8 feet up--THATS IT! Yet, I can do a 5.10 C in the gym on a 40 foot wall no problem. Yes, I like pulling plastic much better then rock. I ended up injuring myself--my arms and I am so angry...its been hours and yet, I can't sleep. I am supposed to leave for China in a few days...how can I go to China with tingley fingers like I had in August and September? How can I get a good night sleep when I can only lay one way again? I worked SOOOOO hard to get past those problems of my hands etc falling asleep. I got a massage weekly for about 5 weeks, did stretches and then POW! In one 5 minute segment of time, I am injured again. Makes me soooo mad. I HATE CLIMBING OUTSIDE.

Can you tell I am stressed out for my China trip? I don't know why....the food? the flight? traveling without a loved one? I have done stuff like this before....am I psyching myself out? I probably am and I need to stop it. I got a lot of snacks packed to take with and am pretty prepared-- I think I am worried about being away from Rick and the kids. I had a hard time while I was in AZ (which I still need to blog about...). And I always have a hard time when he is climbing a mountain. Its okay when we can communicate--text or cell, but in China, I won't be able to do either. Its only 8 days total....get over it!

Rick went next and just cruised up. He didn't send the route, but he did awesome and he said he learned a lot about climbing outside. This was only his second time climbing outside in Utah. I think he did great and I am so proud of him. He is so brave and enthusiastic about climbing outside. He found the holds quickly too. (I'm still wondering where the next purple or green one is. lol)

Well, my hands and arms hurt and I am still emotional over everything. The kids had fun though. Afterwards, Rick took them to Maggie Moos (i stayed in the car with Tanith...she was grumpy and truthfully, I was sick of listening to the kids). Dallin was telling the ice cream lady all about his hike. I am glad they love hiking and seeing animals and they both did so good climbing. What great boys they are. And...what a great husband I have. I love you Rick.

Super Angie...my math boy

Yesterday Dallin came home grinning and grinning. He won the math bowl for his class and he has a certificate. Of course, we had to call everyone and let them know. What a proud mom I am.

Brennan had his second day of preschool today. Oh man...he loves it so much. He told his babysitter, "I loved EVERYTHING" when she asked what he liked best about his new preschool. When I picked him up today, he just talked and talked and talked about how much fun he had and what he did. Once again, I am thankful the Lord inspired me to move him to another school. Miss Melva's is the right choice for Brennan.

Tanith is finally over her fever and actually is acting fairly normal again. Last night she played and played. Rick was so proud of her playing ball with him. Proud Daddy!

Yesterday, I worked out in the morning (walked 3000 vertical feet=1000 calories), then climbed with Rick (new 5.10!!!) and then last night, I went back to the gym for the WERC program. I love WERC. (Woman Experience Rock Climbing) I am now one of the "instructors" and its so much fun to help these ladies and make new friends. Last night I climbed my favorite 5.10c and a 5.9 (green corner one for those who know the gym). I actually got an applause for climbing that one. lol Then I tried another 5.9 (Soill holds) and slipped right off...think my body was trying to tell me "enough climbing for the day". We had the surprise going away party for Laurie and it was awesome. She was TOTALLY surprised. :) She will be missed.

Super Angie..its a beautiful day!

What a peaceful, wonderful, beautiful day it has been. Today Brennan started preschool at Miss Melva's and it was perfect! The second you walk into her home, you can feel the spirit. Brennan noticed all the cute school things hanging in her stairway and on the walls in the classroom. She welcomed him (said he looked just like Dallin). She gave him a picture to color (same one Dallin had colored...I recognized it!). Then we talked and I filled out paperwork. The other kids came in. They hang up their coat and bag and then get to play for about 10 minutes until the buzzer goes off. There was absolutly no stress in this classroom. She was very prepared, but she goes with the flow....so, if things don't stick to a time frame, she doesn't blow up.

When I picked up Brennan, he talked NON STOP. He told me stories about what they did, sang, ate, played and what book they read. He was soooo happy and excited. He is a different kid. We picked up Dallin from school, and he was more peaceful too. There was just a better feeling today. I know we made the right choice to switch Brennan. :)

ATTENTION!!

I have blogged a TON of blogs the past few days. Make sure to scroll down so you can see 'em!

Super Angie...new preschool

We are so excited. Dallin's old preschool teacher, Miss Melva, had an opening and wanted Brennan to come. Yea! On Thursday, she was going through some old stuff and found a photo of Dallin. Then I called her on Friday. Its destiny and meant to be. :)

Tanith is teething. Poor little girl. She has a runny nose, fever, and she is CRANNNKKKKKY!!! I can see the new tooth cutting through on the bottom. Poor rat baby.

Its been a rainy, stormy, cold day. We dropped by the gym to get drinks (Carmel Apple Cider YUMMMMM!!!) and everyone was wearing coats. I can't imagine wearing a tank top to climb when the gym is THAT cold. Yikes!

Rick is getting ready to board his flight home. Can't wait to see him. :)

Super Angie...Halloween's a coming!

With Halloween only a few short weeks away, yesterday was time to get costumes bought. Dallin decided holding a fake Parrot would be awesome, so he choose to be a pirate--even though he has never seen any of the Pirate movies (hes not holding the parrot in this picture). Brennan wanted to be a Dragon and with luck, the furry green dragon costume was the first one I saw! We bought him green "fairy" wings to wear, but you can't really see them in this photo. And I got the SUPER GIRL costume...and believe it or not, its actually modest! lol Tanith will wear the pumpkin costume that both Brennan and Dallin wore when they were babies. Rick said he may just dress like himself and go as a "Moron".

Just realized that we are closing on the condo on Halloween--which means we will actually be in Keystone for Halloween...luckily, our church group is having a party the Friday before and Momentum is having a Halloween climbing day on Monday the 29th. We will all climb in our costumes...can't wait to climb as SUPER GIRL! lol lol lol I'll have to check around and see if we can do anything "Halloween"ish in Keystone...probably can go Trick or Treating in Dillon, Silverthorne or Frisco...maybe even in Breckenridge.

Super Angie...our place in Colorado

So right now, Rick is in Keystone, Colorado (near Breckenridge and Vail) doing the inspection on the condo we are buying. He took some photos with his phone and I thought I'd post the view from the deck...I love decks!!!

--Super Angie

I decided after the fact to put a few links up to things about Keystone.

Super Angie...Breakfast at IHOP

So, this morning, I took the boys and Tanith to IHOP while Rick caught a plane to Colorado. We were going to drive out last night to do the inspection on the place we bought in Keystone, but the traffic and weather put huge delays on everything. Then we decided to leave this morning at 4am, but last night at around 9pm, we decided the best thing would be for Rick to fly to Denver, rent a car and drive to Keystone. Then fly home tonight. So, anyway, the kids were pretty excited to go to CO, so to help ease the dissapointment, I took them to IHOP. I have done this tons of time--but not with Tanith as mobile as she is. Usually IHOP is no big deal and very easy going, but today, it was stressful. Having to deal with Tanith trying to climb out of her highchair, while dealing with Brennan waving a fork full of Ketchup around proved to be too hard for me. UGH!

But, the kids did enjoy the bendy straws they got at IHOP and are now proudly waving them around...apparently, they are Cobras instead of straws. Silly me for not realizing this!

Super Angie...what kids say

"Mama" Brennan said, "where do sleepy bugs come from?"
"Hmm... I don't know" I said.
"I think they fly through the window every night and land on my eyes." he said.

Super Angie...hard times

Why oh why, can't my second child be as easy going as my first? I am sure all parents wonder this about one of their kids. My sweet little Brennan was punching and hitting his classmate (Thatcher, the one who threw up at his party--although I am sure it wasn't in retaliation) and his teacher, PLUS yelling, "I;m gonna kill you". Oh boy.

I don't think my little Brennan is ready for preschool--or at least don't think hes ready for this particular one. This one is very structured and strict in a sense.

I am having a very hard time with him...

Super Angie...Bellobration

Brennan Bello!
Dallin Bello

Bello Family! Bello threw this "hair" peice into the audience and Dallin got it. :) Its even autographed by Bello!

Two very tuckered out little boys...

Before the circus, we saw the elephants.

And we saw the Zebras!
Grandma spoiled the boys!!

The Flag was brought in on an Elephant!

Last night, my mom and I took the boys to the circus. This year, Bello was in town and had a BELLOBRATION. It was a fantastic night. (Just realized that some of you might not know who Bello is--he is the best clown ever. He is a dare-devil clown who does some really outstanding tricks. His orange hair sticks straight up, just like this hair piece we are wearing)

Super Angie...field trip time!

Fire man Brennan!

He loved sitting in the driver's seat!

He was a little monkey--trying out his rock climbing skills on the front of the fire truck!

SMILE!!

The whole preschool class--minus Miss Lori--she had sick kids today, so she stayed home!

Today was the preschool field trip to the FIRE STATION! Brennan was soooo excited to go--he was actually a little mad that he had to go to his classroom first before the fieldtrip.

At the fire station, the kids got to climb in the trucks and try on the clothes. Brennan LOVED sitting in the fire truck, climbing on, running by and just being there. I took Tanith with and she loved the excitement that was all around here.

I won't forget the joy on Brennan's little face...

Super Angie...balloons, cake, ice cream and puke!

Mark and the boys.

AHOY MATEY! Dallin with my mom and Tanith.

Rick took this DARLING photo of Tan.

Ice Cream at Red Robin...can you tell he is THRILLED?!

Missy and Brennan at the party

Tanith...she loves to stand and hold on to things. Thatcher is in the background (a few minutes prior to throwing up).

Brennan tooting his horn!

Pop and Tanith...she loved to stick her tongue out at him.

What a wild 4th birthday this has been. On Sunday, his actual birthday, we went to Red Robin with Paul's family and my parents (who were only in town for a few days). It was so nice to be together as a family (minus Rick who was on Baker). Brennan's dad, Mark, was also in town, so he spent quite a bit of the weekend with him too.

The party was a mix of CARS, Dinos and throw up...poor Thatcher! Brennan's little friend Thatcher got sick all over our carpet. Poor little guy. Now our carpet has a pinkish hue to it. hmmm...interesting. The ice cream cake was yummy...most of the kids wanted more helpings. Interestingly enough, Thatcher only had a small helping.

Tanith loved looking at everyone wearing a party hat. She would crack up when I would tilt my head towards her. She must have though mommy looked so funny with a party hat on. The kids ran around using the hats as beaks. Our friend Missy came, which was so fun for Brennan. She works at the gym in the daycare, and Brennan adores her. I often go to the gym just so he can see her. What a sweetie! She was also a huge help in cleaning up the throw up. We also borrowed this great spray from Christie across the street. THANKS!

It was a fun birthday. It was really nice having Rick home, having cooler weather (this morning there was FROST!!!!) and having family here. We really are blessed!
