Super Angie...its a beautiful day
Today was just fabulous.
Started the day off with a fantastic workout. Since I"m training for Mt. Rainier, I am doing my treadmill workouts in my mountaineering boots. I walk at only 1 mph, but at level 40 on our treadmill which is DANG hard. About every other time, I wear my pack (which right now is only at 10lbs--gotta work up to 40). I LOVE this workout. Feels so great and I love to watch Australia's Next Top Model while I exercise.
Then it was time for Brennan's ice skating lessons. The are apparently re-surfacing the regular practice rink, so he had his lesson on the Olympic rink (2002 Hockey venue). I will admit I was jealous as I watched him skate over the Olympic rings center ice. He looked so cute and did so good.
When we got home, I remembered that someone was hosting a shoe party at the park, so I stopped to see if there was anything good. I found two cute pairs, but they didn't have my size. :(
After a quick lunch, we then took off for Sports Authority. Rick and I have both lost so much weight that we decided it was time to get some workout clothes that fit and we were pleasantly surprised. All the shorts we bought were SIZE SMALL!!! Me? A small? HOLY COW! I'm soooooo thrilled.
One the way home, we stopped by IKEA, had dinner and bought a lot of storage containers. I simply LOVE Ikea. We might get the boy's new beds, so we did a lot of "dreaming" while in the bed section. The best thing I bought today was a shoe rack to put under my computer desk. I always collect way too many shoes down there, and although they are almost always lined up and in order, now they just look so much nicer.
And FINALLY, we stopped at SMITHS and bought some groceries.
Once home, Rick got the work pruning the trees in the front and the roses, and I set to work unloading groceries and all the other stuff. The boys had fun helping Rick prune and picking up all the branches. Phew! We worked hard.
And to make this family day even better....Rick finally finished the Airplane play set. He had started it last summer, but it came packaged with the wrong part. So we had to call the company and ask them to send a new part. Meanwhile, Rick's hands were hurting and life got busy and well...we never finished it. Today while at ice skating, Rick put the whole thing together and tonight, we tightened all the screws. And then the kids (and a neighbor) and I took a VICTORY FLIGHT. YEA!!!
It was a beautiful family day and we got so much fun.

Working out with the shoes and pack. You must be done with the flu!
I loved Tan's look on her face, pure joy in flying....
I've still not been to Ikea, but will make the trip some day! Fun day! I love being with my kids!
