We love living right at American Fork canyon. The other day, I took the kids about 5 minutes from our house and we just hiked and played and played and hiked.

Sounds like a wonderful extended "backyard" to play and explore and have fun in. It was like that where I grew up, except there were only three houses... my own and two neighbors' and then nature as my own play area. Your kids are lucky you live there and take them on excusions!
