Super Angie...I'm cleaning house

I'm done.

I'm cleaning house.

And I don't mean with a broom or mop.

I'm getting rid of some things in my life that aren't treating me good.

I'm getting rid of the drama.

I'm feeling good about this.

Its gonna be hard, but I know its the right thing to do.

Good bye old....

Super Angie...fall break Sunday

We had a delightful Sunday.

Church was great, with the kids doing a practice for the Primary Program next week. Saw an old friend at church too--its always fun to catch up and get/give hugs.

Then a car ride was in store which ended at a park. What nice breeze there was, and the sun wasn't that intense. The kids all got dizzy sick rolling down the hill.

Milkshakes and hamburgers, playing outside. Chatting with neighbors and trading pokemon cards...my kids were in heaven.

We curled up on the couch and enjoyed a movie today (My Dog Skip) and then ended the evening with The Amazing Race.

Oh yeah, and the kids, with not much complaining, did some toy sorting and cleaning.

Happy Day, Happy Family!

Super Angie...more fall break fun

Saturday, as part of our fall break fun, we went to Trafalga and went golfing.
Dallin was serious at first, but by the end, we were just out for fun

Tanith would often start putting just a few inches from the hole.
Brennan had some interesting skills
Lots of laughing, lots of running, lots of playing, very little actual golfing!

After a great round outside, we went inside to leave, but Brennan started pushing buttons on all the games and got free tickets. Like 20 in total, so I took out three dollars, got tokens and let the kids bowl.
We got 75 tickets in all, but we are saving them for next time we go, so we can collect even more tickets and get a bigger and better prize--this BTW took a lot of convincing. Finally we left happy.

I love fall break!

Super Angie...back to normal

Well, before the scary moment (see post below), I had a wonderful and beautiful morning.

I went skating.

I had a lesson.

I am getting back to normal.

Because of my children's school schedules, I have figured out that starting next Tuesday, I can skate every Tuesday and Thursday morning--with Brennan! And on Tuesdays, we can have a lesson at the same time--his with coach Bri, and mine with my coach, Ali. Rick will take Dallin to school (with Tanith in the car too). School starts at 8:30. Thats when our lessons are too. Then it takes Rick about 20-30 minutes to drive from the school to his work (with Tan in the car), and our lesson takes 30 minutes. So then, we just quickly drive to his work, and pick up Tan. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I love being back on the ice.

I love being on the ice with Brennan.

I love his enthusiasm and love for skating.

I love jumping and spinning and flying.

I love working hard and making progress.

I love getting my life back to normal, adding things to my schedule and moving past all the bad things that have happened last month.

I love being back on the ice...

I feel so alive!

Super Angie...being lost

For our second day of Fall Break, we went to the corn maze at Thanksgiving Point.
We had such a stress free and fun time at the begining. We enjoyed all the sights and the boys even went, all by their selves, into the big haunted monster. We had a blast.
We rode the cow train...Tan sat in my lap.

They played on the big wooden train....
AND THEN....
We went through the cornmaze... I hate cornmazes!

It was not the most enjoyable experience. Maybe its fun for teens, but for a mom with three kids and the hot sun...it was just not that much fun.
So, we snuck our way through it (we cheated!!) and went and had lunch.

And then we went and played some more.
All the kids LOVED the duck races....
especially Tan.
Oh...if I had known that what this sign was to fore tell...I would have just left right then!
So, after all the fun things, the boys wanted to go to the big bouncy area. So, I told them to go ahead, as I followed slowly with Tanith. After a few minutes, Dallin ran back to grab Tan. So he took her over and got her bouncing...and boy, did she bounce!
They were having a great time together. I tried finding Brennan, but couldn't find him. I thought it was just because there were so many kids bouncing.

Suddenly, Dallin ran to me and said, "Brennan's not over there bouncing!" and we looked and saw he had taken his shoes.

HE WAS GONE!

So, I started looking. I talked to moms, I looked at the slides. I looked at the picnic area. I looked at the mine area...I looked and looked. I was freaking out. WHERE IS BRENNAN!?

I found an employee and asked her if she had seen him. She said she would make an announcement. So, I went back to Dallin and Tanith and we waited. I called Rick...I was FREAKING OUT on the phone. Totally scared. Crying. Shaking...

Then suddenly, a lady brought Brennan over to me.

OH MY GOSH! We just hugged and hugged.

Turns out, he never knew that I had actually come over to the bouncy area, so he had gone to find me. A lady heard the announcement about a missing boy, and saw Brennan and that he matched the description, she asked him, "are you lost" and then took him to an employee who brought him to me.

I'm still shaking and freaked out over it.

Its really sad, because we were having such a stressfree time there.

I sure do love my kids.

Super Angie...fall break fun

Well, Fall break activities started a day early for us. The kids just COULDN'T WAIT to decorate Halloween sugar cookies, so we did it early.I think Brennan ate more frosting then was put on his cookie!
A very happy frosting girl.
I remember looking through my own childhood photo album and my brother Paul would ALWAYS make silly faces. Now I realize..its a boy thing at this age. Those silly 8-10 yr olds!
Brennan was very gentle with his sprinkles.
It was fun watching Tan get so particular. She actually only ate a part of her cookie and then gave the other one, plus two others she made to Rick. Ah, so sweet!
My two finished cookies. Mmmm...not on my diet, but yummy none-the-less!
One our first offical day of fall break, we went to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen with Rick and then we bought Chutes and Ladders, built a fort and sat inside playing.

I love school, but I love having my kids home from school as well!

Super Angie... "I love her because shes my grandma"

A few weekends ago, we had the pleasure of going to Vegas to visit Rick's mom and sister. Recently they lost everything in a house fire, and by a miracle, we happened to have a storage unit full of everything they needed! So, we rented a moving van and down we went.

The actual move went really fast and easy. And then we were able to just enjoy being with Grandma Joyce.

We went to Sweet Tomatoes which is where these fun pictures were taken at. Tanith, Brennan and Dallin really enjoy Grandma Joyce.

And as we were driving home, Tanith said, "I love her because shes my grandma".

Family is such a blessing!

Super Angie...BYU BYU!

On Friday night, I took my nephew Andy, and Dallin and Brennan to the BYU ICE CATS hockey game. Oh my gosh! We had the best time. First, we got there early, so Andy and the boys played outside on the grass--chase, hide and seek and tag. Andy is so patient with the boys and really encourages them to be their best. He is such a neat teen! LOVE YOU ANDY!
Dallin got a cougar hat and Brennan got the wild blue hair.

Hes so silly!
The team came out and gave high fives, fist pounds and lots of attention to the boys. "NICE HAT!" they all said to Brennan and Dallin. Of course the boys were thrilled. The goalie was REALLY nice and gave lots of extra attention. What a great team of good, outstanding boys.
I think Brennan wants to be like the goalie
GO ICE CATS!
GO BYU!
Me and my boy. He really loves ice skating, so being a hockey game was a big deal for him.
The team was SO awesome. They gave Dallin and Brennan ICE CATS water bottles!!
Can you tell they are excited. They even learned some of the Cougar theme song.
Brennan really loves his cousin Andy, and Andy feels the same. He is SUCH A GREAT cousin. He really was patient with the boys.
Number 16 was awesome. He even waved to the boys through the glass.
We "bought" 10 pucks for the HUCK A PUCK contest and Brennan enjoyed stacking them up. Andy helped him make a pyramid which was a huge hit!
We had perfect seats for slapping high fives with the team.
Ah, the zamboni. Always a good thing!
Dallin was really into everything.
More cheers and high fives for the team...
Like my blue hair and my BYU shirt?
All three boys got so much attention since we were right by the glass and the tunnel.
After the big win (6-1), we gave an enthusiastic cheer and highfive as the team left the ice. I really enjoy going to the game and can't wait for the next one. GO BYU ICE CATS!
