This morning, I remembered sitting in St. Louis at my last comp. I was sitting in the lobby a few hours before my time to skate. I think I was icing my knee or eating. But I was also on the phone with my mom. I was watching a boy, around 13, do his warm up on the ice (watching through the windows) and I remember talking to my mom about what he was doing.
This was the Saturday before she died.
