Super Angie... "good mother"


Its interesting how you find out after a death what people thought.

Here is a note I just received about my mom:
Dear Timm and family I am so sad to hear about Barbara, she was a wonderful woman and taught me to be a good mother. She is missed. My mother was so sad as well. My prayers are with you and your family.

My mom really is GEM and influenced many people. What a blessing...

She helped me too when I was just a young mom. She taught me that I needed to be more consistent with my kids so as not to send them mixed messages, because children thrive on routine and knowing what to expect. I always remembered that and worked hard at being consistent in what I told them was OK and what I told them was not OK, and then at sticking with it. But I also learned from her that the occasional intentionally NOT sticking to a rule, and making sure the children understand this is just a special occasion happening was a lot of fun too!
