Super Angie... "I'm gonna throw up!"

Oh fantastic.

Tanith has this new THING where if she doesn't get her way, or she gets hurt, she cries herself into a fit and then yells "I'M GONNA THROW UP" and then she keeps her promise and throws up.

She does this if she slips on a toy.
She does this if someone leaves the house and she doesn't get to go with them.
She did this tonight because one of the boys told her she couldn't play with the tupperware.

Any ideas or suggestions? Its really getting OLD.

YIKERS! That is so awful! I don't have any good advice, except always have a 'throw up bowl' nearby. I am so sorry!

I had a child like that once.... She got upset one time because she had been too noisy for Sacrament Meeting and Dave was taking her out to the foyer. She threw up all down the back of his dry-clean only Sunday suit!
The way we put a stop to this was from the moment she got up in the morning, we attached one of those hard shell plastic bibs with the "catch the food" pocket at the bottom of it and duct taped the place at the back of the bib where the closure was so she could not remove it. I explained to her she would have to wear this everywhere she went until she stopped throwing up on purpose to get her way. She only did this twice more, with the bib pocket catching everything, and figured out it was not much fun to have to lug this thing around her neck all the time (not to mention it was a bit embarrassing if her friends stopped by!) She was about three and a half at the time, not two like Tan, so I am not sure if that would work or not on her. I am also not sure if those bibs still exist anywhere.

Otter Mum...thanks for the idea! I'm not sure what Tan would think of those bibs. Hmmm.

Thanks Jenny and Amy for your support. Ugh
