We stopped yesterday, mid way to Keystone, in Grand Junction, Colorado to have lunch and fly kites. There is a fabulous KITE FLYING park right off the freeway which we have been wanting to stop at, so we made the stop.
The kids all had those dollar plastic kites but they were excited non-the-less. There were two kite enthusiasts there, with their huge several hundred dollar kite. These guys quickly took Brennan and Dallin (and later Tanith) under their wing and taught them all the tricks to the trade. They were taught how to find which way the wind is blowing and which direction to start running. They also learned how to stand still and keep the kite about 60 feet up.
We spent almost 2 hours out there in the beautiful weather, playing, running, and laughing and smiling. It was a great way to break up the drive to Keystone.
Unfortuantly, my computer is having probs, so I can't post any pics...I'll probably do that once Spring Break is done.
The weather here in Keystone is gorgeous! Sunny, no snow on the trails, sidewalks, road or driveways. In a bit, the kids and I will go for a walk and later, I'm gonna go to the Breckenridge Rec Center to work out while the two youngest kids are in daycare.

Sounds like a great time! Way to keep up on your blogging even on vacation - I've been such a slacker lately! We are in St. George and it's super windy ... I like the kite flying idea!
