Super Angie...Spring Break pics- day 1

We stopped in Grand Junction on our way to Keystone to fly kites at a big ball field/kite park in town. We met two nice guys who had a giant professional kite, and the quickly adopted my kids and taught them how to fly their kites the right way. They learned how to tell which direction the wind was coming from and then which way they should face to get their kite to fly. They eventually got so good at flying that they could stand still the whole time instead of running, like lots of kids do. THEY LOVED IT! Unfortunately, our dollar kites quickly broke. The funniest though was when Dallin was flying his and it collided mid air with the professionals kite. His kite tore Dallin's right out of his hand and his kite went sailing down the road. We eventually found it in a tree. The pro was kind enough to give us $40 to buy a really nice new kite!

We had a wonderful time!

Wow girl! You are a posting maniac today! LOTS of cute pictures!

I'm so jealous of your skating abilities; wish a professional kite flyer had shown me how to do it right (and given me money to buy a new kite- wow!!); and want to go to Russia to buy cute dresses!
