Super Angie... He's Alive!

Rick called me yesterday and today(actually a few times). They didn't summit Antisana because the snow conditions were so hazardous. The all sank in the snow and when they tested for avalanches, the tests all failed. It just wasn't worth not being safe. So they turned around and headed back to camp. The next morning, they went to Quito and have now basically had two free days in the city. Rick is LOVING it. He really enjoys the culture and seeing everything. I'm so proud of my baby...he is awesome and safe! I knew he'd "come back alive" as we like to joke.

He just called and said he ran into the missionaries! Elder Scott from Lehi and his companion was from Ecuador. Rick was so thrilled about running into them that he called me right away. :)

Here is a picture of David Cole (I don't know him) on the summit of Mt. Everest that I found on this website: http://www.project-himalaya.com/dispatches/2008/08-everest-18-summit.html --it has some cool pics.

My baby comes home tomorrow. And then the next trip will be Dallin and I going to China on December 1st.

How fun! I want to take my kids to the Galapagos Islands, just outside of Quito!
