Sunday evening, we enjoyed some family time up American Fork canyon. We had a camp fire, roasted Brat Wurst and marshmellows and enjoyed a rice dish, veggies, watermelon and of course SMORES! We also had a Family Home Evening lesson about Prayer which the kids participated in nicely. It was cold but fun.

So not good for me, but so yummmy.

Brennan tried his hand at roasting marshmellows and learned the proper HOW TOs.

Dallin caught his on fire. Oops!

Tan holding the smore I made her, which she refused to eat because it was "black". OH brother!

Best buddies...

It was neat watching the boys want to "play" in the fire. Thank goodness for the scout program so they can get out and do it while someone else is responsible.
A fun afternoon, so funny to see coats on in Utah in Aug.
That of course assumes your scout leaders are not pyromaniacs like some I know around here... Eric came home from a scouting hike once having been told that aerosol cans' contents were highly flammable and decided to experiment: nearly set fire to his bedroom too!
I love the canyons! Maybe Saturday night after my mom's deal!
